Gerd-Ulf (GU) Krueger

GU Krueger is principal economist and founder of HousingEcon.com, Inc. He works on all aspects of market research, including feasibility studies, forecasts of prices and foreclosures, and the analysis of local and regional economies. Before founding HousingEcon.com, Inc., GU Krueger was a Senior Vice President at IHP Capital Partners, where he managed and coordinated all aspects of market research for IHP from project based analysis to strategic planning.

Prior to joining IHP, GU was Deputy Chief Economist with the California Association of Realtors. He also worked as an industry economist for the Conference Board in New York City. GU has served in an economic advisory role for the Los Angeles Mayor’s office, the California Department of Finance, and the California State Controller. GU is past President of the National Association of Business Economics, LA Chapter, and past Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council of the California Chamber of Commerce.

 

RUDY SVRCEK

Rudy Svrcek

Rudy Svrcek specializes in product pricing and product mix planning for HousingEcon.com. He provides invaluable experience in market research, product segmentation, site density planning, and micro competitive analysis. Rudy Svrcek is also President of Real Estate Advisory (REA), a real estate market research firm headquartered in Irvine, California. He has three decades of development, planning and marketing experience. Rudy also has been involved in evaluating over 200 residential investments in Northern and Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Utah, Hawaii, and selected east coast markets.

Prior to working at REA, Rudy was senior vice president of marketing and residential sales for the Irvine Ranch Company, vice president of marketing and sales for the Donald L. Bren Companies, and director of sales and marketing for Barratt Homes.

 

PATRICK DUFFY

Patrick Duffy
Product and Field Analysis Consultant

Patrick Duffy is an expert in new housing and retail analogues throughout the country for HousingEcon.com. He specializes in field interviews of sales agents and Realtors. Patrick identifies consumers’ preferences for product and pricing to sculpt buyer profiles, which drive demographic and psychographic demand projections. He has consulted for nearly 20 years on various real estate development projects worth over $50 billion. Patrick is also Founder and President of MetroIntelligence Real Estate Advisors, a division of Beacon Economics.

Prior to Metrointelligence, Patrick was Managing Director of Consulting with Hanley Wood Market Intelligence (formerly The Meyers Group), and provided product and project feasibility consulting throughout the United States. He was also a Vice President of Consulting with MarketPointe Realty Advisors and has worked with The Concord Group, and Robert Charles Lesser & Co. Patrick has been quoted extensively in several media outlets including the Wall Street Journal and Fox News and has been a regular contributor to Builder Magazines and Web TV sites.

 

DONALD FIKE

Donald J. Fike
Financial Modeling Consultant

Donald J. Fike is an expert in cash flow analysis for HousingEcon.com. He develops proforma models for complex housing and development deals in the private sector. Don has extensive public sector experience and has assisted in the privatization of a military housing project and the conversion to mixed use of a naval property. His financial expertise covers residential, commercial, industrial, multi-family, and hospitality developments. He is President of Donald J. Fike, Inc and has been a successful independent consultant for over 35 years.

Don served as an expert witness for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Orange County Superior Court, and the Federal Bankruptcy Court. His client base includes institutional investors and private entities such as the Bank of America, Pulte Home Corporation, and Arden Realty.
