RUDY SVRCEK
Principal Economist and Founder
Mr. Rudy Svrcek possesses over three decades of experience in the real estate development industry and is a recognized expert in planning and marketing residential development projects. His scope of experience encompasses all forms of residential products including detached homes, high-density housing, condominium conversions, apartments, residential high-rise, luxury homes and custom lots. He currently provides services ranging from executive real estate development management to advisory services for large-scale land developments, housing projects and overall strategic planning.
Mr. Svrcek's experience is geographically broad, having advised clients on a wide range of real estate developments throughout the United States including Northern and Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Utah and selected east coast markets.
Mr. Svrcek served eight years as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Residential Sales for The Irvine Company, which is developing the nation's largest master-planned urban environment on almost 54,000 acres of land in orange County, California. During that time, he directly impacted The Irvine Company's success by generating $3.5 billion in residential housing sales and $250 million in custom lot sales. He was also responsible for conceiving and executing conversations of six apartment projects into for-sale condominiums, values at $275 million.
As Senior Vice President, Mr. Svreck provided leadership to numerous merchant builders in the areas of market research, product segmentation and design, site and density planning, and project budgeting, as well as creating innovative marketing programs to support all development.
As a result of his excellent performance, Mr. Svrcek was asked to serve on the Board of Directors for, an Irvine Company affiliate, the Irvine Apartment Management Company. At that time, he also became Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Irvine Apartment Communities and its affiliates, a $2 billion real estate trust consisting of 17,000 apartments.
Mr. Svrcek came to The Irvine Company from one of Orange County's best-known builders, The Donald L. Bren Company (now known as California Pacific Homes) of Newport Beach, where he served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for almost seven years. There he held responsibility for product development, product specification, marketing strategy and market research on the development of more than 3,000 residential units.
Prior to joining The Donald L. Bren Company, he was Director of Sales and Marketing for Barratt Homes with responsibility for directing the sale of residential product located throughout Orange, San Diego and Riverside Counties.
Previously in his real estate career, Mr. Svrcek also held management positions with Coldwell Banker and Daon Corporation.
Mr. Svrcek's management skills, real estate expertise and innovation have earned him numerous Sales and Marketing Counsel MAME Awards, as well as being selected three times as The Irvine Company's Manager of the Year.
A commitment to public service has led Mr. Svrcek to serve on the Board of Directors of the Orange County YMCA and the Board of Directors of Saint Joseph's Hospital.
He and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Irvine with their two children.
